Description

According to tests conducted by coffee experts, Aurli’s coffee ware can enhance the extraction characteristics of coffee, allowing you to experience different flavor profiles and present more surprising variations in taste:

[1 / Fire] Fired once – the acidity is most pronounced, with a strong and distinctive character.
[3 / Blaze] Fired three times – higher sweetness, with a smoothing effect on acidity.
[5 / Inferno] Fired five times – the most well-rounded among the three, delivering a very balanced taste.

Product Features

◆ Nerikomi clay craftsmanship, one of a kind:
Materials such as aged rock clay, glaze clay, and colored clay are kneaded and layered to create intricate nerikomi patterns. These are then carefully embedded by hand into a base of aged rock clay, taking into account the shape and overall design of the vessel. After firing at approximately 1270°C, differences in material shrinkage produce unique gradient colors and textured surfaces. Each piece is truly one of a kind.

◆ Enhancing coffee through the vessel:
Aurli has developed four cup styles, including standard coffee cups, semi-spherical cups, cappuccino cups, and Americano cups. Different shapes and mineral compositions can amplify or soften specific flavor notes in coffee. By testing the same batch of beans with different cups, you can discover the ideal cup shape and enjoy Aurli’s philosophy of “tasting coffee through the vessel.”

◆ Safety assurance:
All products are safe for use. The tea and coffee ware have passed SGS heavy metal testing, with no detectable lead or cadmium leaching. Additionally, the products are covered by product liability insurance of up to NT$33.7 million.

Notes

Made from natural aged rock minerals combined with clay, the body presents a primitive, rustic, and naturally coarse texture. A thin glaze is applied inside the cup, highlighting the kiln-transformed earthy tones and unique character.
Due to varying kiln conditions, colors and patterns may differ slightly between batches. Products are shipped randomly.
