■ Creative Concept
The Year of the Water Snake, 2013 (Guisi Year), features the Heavenly Stem "Gui" (Yin Water) and the Earthly Branch "Si" (Snake Fire). In folklore, it is also called the Year of the Little Dragon.
"Ruoshui" – Little Dragon Year Rock Tea Ware
This tea ware, named Ruoshui, embodies the essence of water and the spirit of the dragon. The surface is adorned with dragon scale patterns, reflecting the connection between dragons and snakes in mythology.
The snake, with its head slightly raised and poised to strike, is also known as the "Little Dragon." Agile, perceptive, and wise, it moves with precision and is regarded as a symbol of longevity and prosperity.
Drawing from Feng Shui principles that describe elemental shapes—"Metal is round, Wood is straight, Water is curved, Fire is sharp, and Earth is square"—the design incorporates the traditional architectural feature Shui Mabei (Water Horseback Ridge). Found in traditional dwellings, this structure follows Feng Shui ideals, and its curving form is reflected in the teapot's spout and rim to align with the water element of 2013.
(1) Water-Inspired Architecture – The teapot’s spout and rim adopt the characteristics of Shui Mabei,
a traditional water-element architectural feature, echoing the essence of 2013’s elemental nature.
(2) Monastic Influence – Inspired by the Sengmao Hu (Monk's Hat Teapot), a design rooted in Tibetan
Buddhist metalware resembling a monk's hat, first popularized during the Yuan Dynasty.
(3) Symbolic Representation – The raised snake head signifies alertness, adaptability, and intelligence,
reinforcing its identity as the "Little Dragon" and a symbol of longevity and abundance.

PURION
Beneath its rustic and natural appearance lies a variety of textures.
Fire kilned at high temperatures, it reveals rich, changing hues.
Sturdy and earthy, it subtly shows the artisan’s handcrafted marks.
Made from mineral-rich quartz clay and kilned at high temperatures,
it has a structure similar to Maifan stone and activated carbon.
This improves water quality, making it smoother and naturally sweet.
Its grainy texture slows heat dissipation,
retaining warmth better than pottery or porcelain.
Ideal for heavily or fully fermented teas,
such as Dianhong, traditional Tieguanyin, aged tea, and Pu-erh.
